Another area of COSMOCAIXA with our shade sails. In this case, in addition to enabling the space to be used in summer, the sails allow a greater thermal comfort in the buildings and a saving in the energy consumption of the air conditioning equipment.

Shade sails On the square with the possibility of relocating them as needed. They allow to protect from the sun all those schoolchildren who visit the Museum, while they wait to enter or eat their sandwich.
3 MAGNOLIAS Residence – Viladecans – Barcelona
Shade sails at TRES MAGNOLIAS nursing home in VILADECANS: outdoor comfort and well-being. At this nursing home, we have installed sails in different phases to create more comfortable and safer outdoor spaces, allowing residents to enjoy the outdoors without the worry of excessive exposure to the sun.
The design of the sails adapts to the needs of the environment, providing effective sun protection, improving the temperature in the rest areas and encouraging the use of outdoor spaces all year round.
Municipal Library. Armand Cardona Torrandell – Vilanova i la Geltrú – Barcelona
We have installed sails shade in the inner courtyard of the Cardona Torrandell Library in Vilanova providing a perfect solution to increase the square meters available for cultural activities. These sails not only offer sun protection, but also create a comfortable and functional environment, ideal for a variety of outdoor cultural activities. We are delighted to contribute to the expansion of cultural spaces. We would like to add that in this case the sails also shades the windows of the Reading Room, reducing the greenhouse effect and improving thermal comfort for library users.
CAP VINYETS Primary Care Center – Sant Boi de Llobregat – Barcelona
These sails at CAP VINYETS in Sant Boi de Llobregat were installed at the request of the Institut Català de la Salut to reduce the temperature in consulting rooms and waiting rooms of the center. The use of shade sails made of COMMERCIAL 95 material to minimize the greenhouse effect inside some buildings allows to improve the thermal comfort of the spaces and/or to reduce the expenditure of energy for thermal conditioning.
GRADES Escola SANTA EULALIA – Sant Pere de Ribes – Barcelona
Commissioned by the City Council of Sant Pere de Ribes, we installed sails in Escola Santa Eulàlia del Barri de Roquetes in Sant Pere de Ribes. It was a winning proposal of the participatory budgets. This proposal was designed to provide solar protection to the bleachers area.
BUJARUELO REFUGE – Aragonese Pyrenees
Shade sails at the Bujaruelo Refuge, in the Aragonese Pyrenees
It is also important to protect yourself from the sun in the mountains. At this refuge in Bujaruelo, in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees, sails shade was installed in the table area for diners, creating a more comfortable and protected space to enjoy the environment.
Designed to withstand high mountain conditions, these sails can be easily removed in winter, adapting to the seasonal needs of the refuge. A versatile and functional solution that enhances the visitor experience without altering the natural landscape.
MARLIN BEACH BAR – Sant Pere Pescador Beach – COSTA BRAVA – Girona
These are perhaps our boldest and most exposed shade sails, on the seafront at the Marlin Beach Bar restaurant, on the beach of Sant Pere Pescador, in the Gulf of Roses, Girona, under the Tramuntana
In this project, we installed sails heavy-duty shade at the Marlin Beach Bar, a beachfront restaurant in Sant Pere Pescador, on the Gulf of Roses. With the Tramuntana as a witness, our sails faces the sea breeze and the most demanding conditions to offer sun protection while maintaining its elegant and functional design. Existing plameras were used to anchor some of the sails.
Perfect for enjoying the coastal environment, these sails allow guests to enjoy the beach and the sea in comfort and style, creating a unique and fresh space to relax.
