The City Council of Granollers, aware of the need for sun protection and anticipating many years before the fashion of "climate shelters", took care of providing shaded areas with sails shade to many of the public schools in the municipality. L'Escola Ferrer i Guàrdia was one of the beneficiaries of this initiative. These sails not only improve the comfort of the students during sunny days, but also contribute to create a healthier and more pleasant environment for learning and outdoor activities.
